This retaining wall is located at Kentucky State University in Frankfort, Kentucky.  The wall utilizes 'Versa-Lock' units with a pre-cast concrete cap unit.

This retaining wall uses 6" x 6" treated timbers with 'deadman' anchors every 10'.  Notice the terracing which allows for planting to break up the expanse.

This limestone retaining wall is located in Georgetown, Kentucky.  The limestone is actually a veneer to a structural concrete wall.

This retaining wall is constructed of rail road ties.  Rebar pins are used to tie the timbers together.

This image shows a combination of stone and timber to create a small terrace.  The terraced area is used for annual planting.
